Meet The Board

Here is your board. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask them about the wall and this project.

Pastors Craig & Anne

Craig and Anne started Southside in 1992 in conjunction with the other Victory Churches in Calgary. They have steadily followed the leading of the Lord through the four moves from Glenmore Inn, to Haysboro Community Center, to 7500 Macleod and into the current facility which took place thirteen years ago. Anne’s role on the Board is to oversee media and prayer. Craig oversees everything else.

Thabani Bhala

Thabani Bhala became a part of Southside Victory Church in 2012 after moving from Montreal with his beautiful wife Bekkie. They are proud parents to three energetic young children. When Thabani is not expressing freedom through dance on stage, he is in the market place training teams to optimize Microsoft Desktop Applications. He loves turning stumbling stones into pillars of praise. His role on the Board is to oversee administration.

Rheal Bourgouin

Rheal Bourgoin has been a member of Southside for several years. He married his beautiful wife Janani not too long ago and now have a beautiful baby girl. In the marketplace, he is a master surveyor who has worked on several major projects in downtown Calgary, the Bow Building being one of them. He loves the Lord, he loves to serve and his role on the Board is to oversee building issues. He is a major player in this expansion.

His wife serves as a medical doctor and he is a loyal and influential background person in the church and is a forward thinking visionary. He works as an engineer in gas and oil in the marketplace and has many testimonies of God’s goodness in their lives. His role in the Board is to oversee finances.

Fred Magcawas

Fred Magcawas made his home at Southside shortly after moving into the current facility. He and Dina have been an integral part in prayer, giving, and believing God for the vision of the church. He has three handsome sons, Jacob, Joshua, and Joel who have used their God-given talents in the church and at Bible study. He is in the marketplace as an engineer in the oil and gas industry. His role in the Board is to oversee pastoral care with Chris.

Chris Steward

During a season of ‘church searching’ in 2010, Chris along with his lovely wife Valerie found Southside Victory church which they have called home ever since. They are proud parents of four children and four grandchildren. Christ helps to lead the Healing Ministry and volunteers in other ministries. In the marketplace he serves as an IT print manager.
