Day 40

Prayer Focus: My Legacy – Stewardship

When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required. ~ Luke 12:48 (NLT)

The saying goes, ‘Those who serve well, steward well; and those who steward well, serve well.” Wow, what a powerful proclamation! The truth is both being a good steward and a good servant, go hand-in-hand. It’s kind of like love and faith. Neither can truly exist from a kingdom perspective without the other, and the measuring stick is the Word. Not in partiality, but the sum total of every letter penned, pointing the way to glory.

Prayer

Father, we thank you for the revelation of your word and the truth it sines upon our hearts. Help our faith grow and enlarge our hearts to love one another unconditionally and allow your fruit to spring forth in our lives. We reject every thought that exalts itself against you and bind every vice of the enemy. We decree the fruit of your Holy Spirit be shown through us – love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, patience and long suffering – in abundant measure. In humble submission to your guiding hand, we praise and exalt your name on high, forever…

Day 39

Prayer Focus: My Legacy – Fruit of the Spirit

The one who gets wisdom loves life; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper. ~ Proverbs 19:8 (NIV)

When I first became a spirit-filled Christian, I desired Wisdom and cried out to the Lord day & night. As I grew older many trials came which helped me gain experience and understanding. I have begun to declare wisdom and understanding over my life. There are many of us who have similar promises over our lives, yet to be fulfilled. You have been saved & chosen for such a time as this.

Prayer

We humbly ask now, Lord, for the wealth transfer to take place in our lives. We call in the promises given to us through dreams, visions, and the words of your prophets. We receive all things by faith, according to your plans for us, as in the day of Esther (Es 4:14), having saved us for such a time as this that we might be about our Father’s business in these latter days. In Jesus name.…

Prayer Focus: My Legacy – Assignment

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. ~ Matthew 7:7-8 (NIV)

There is a vast pool of strength and encouragement in knowing that God’s got our back! At times, feelings of inadequacy to accomplish what we set out to do almost seems insurmountable. But when we think of the goodness of the Lord, and all he has done for us, our spirit cries out ‘Hallelujah!!!’ being thankful.

Prayer

Lord, thank you for loving us unconditionally and being a faithful friend at all times. You have blessed us with a many gifts and talents that we will use according to the measure we have been given. You gave us the breath of life, so we give the for counting us worthy of being assigned responsibilities. We believe you for the grace to work and do our part as unto you and you alone. Prayer Focus: My Relationships – Friends

A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. ~ Proverbs 11:25 (NIV)

The image of an open hands, cupped together comes to mind when I think about those who have a gift for giving. True friends give to others, without even knowing whether a need exists. Times when I was on the receiving end, I really wanted to bless my friend right back giving a gift of my own! Givers are good stewards. Resources flow through their hands in a strategic way. What fuels the approach? Simply loving others.

Prayer

Lord, thank you for trusting me to use all that you’ve created to bless others. You reward us with health, strength, favour, fruit of the Spirit, and every good and perfect thing. We love you with all our heart and dedicate all that we have back to you. In Jesus’ name.…

Day 36

Prayer Focus: My Relationships – Family

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” ~ Hebrews 13:5 (ESV)

For a number of years, my prime focus was on becoming rich so I could retire early and help my family live comfortably. I wasn’t afraid of hard work, so climbing the corporate ladder comprised my world, along side of spending time with God. Life was wonderful, but then Holy Spirit put me to the test. Would I trust him enough to follow where my heart told me he was now leading me? Would he still give me the desires of my heart?

Prayer

Lord, thank you for being Jehovah-Jireh, our faithful provider. You have made every provision for all our needs, and we praise you for that. Thank you for showing us how our families can walk in prosperity according to your word. We bind and cast aside all vices of the enemy, and declare bountiful blessings, wisdom, promotions, discernment, and a hedge of protection over every household. Honour the Lord from your wealth and the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. ~ Proverbs 3:9-10 (NLT)

It’s exciting to watch a daughter or son’s sports tournament when the kids are giving it their all. As a mom, you’re so proud of your children’s accomplishments and want to give them a reward, even if their team loses the game. This is what God is like. He wants to reward us for giving the best part of ourselves. Does God receive the best of all we have to give? Are we pursuing a life of excellence?

Prayer Focus: My Identity – Gifts

“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” ~ Philippians 4:19 (NLT)

The Lord graciously gave me a vision the other day: The Father’s heart was wide open, wide, full of abundance, exponentially; He was waiting, waiting for his children to reach in and take all that He has for them, all that they could ever need, all that they could ever want, but this is done by faith.
Jesus paid the price, God’s beloved son Yeshua. It is up to us to receive… receive all that He died for.

Prayer

Help us Holy Spirit, to focus on the heavenly realm, meditate on the Father’s great goodness. His open generous heart, filled with abundance, pours out all that He has for us and all that we could ever want as His children. Through you, Holy Spirit, we learn to humbly receive from the glorious riches stored up for us because of what the Lord Jesus has done. We receive from the Father who is waiting for us to take out of the abundance of His generous heart. We receive today…

Remember the LORD your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful, in order to fulfill the covenant he confirmed to your ancestors with an oath. ~ Deuteronomy 8:18 (NLT)

What will come into that we have not been given? Often times, we fall into the error of thinking our hard work, creativity, wisdom, human connections etc. got us to this point and are all we need to get us to where we desire to be. There is a covenant in place already for us to get wealth! Wow, we have been called to riches!! We have the power!!! We must never, ever forget that the Lord is our source. Go walk in the covenant of getting wealth! Hallelujah!

Prayer

Lord, thank you for this wonderful promise of wealth. Help us, Father, to always remember that our very existence is in you. For “‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said,” ‘For we are indeed his offspring.’ Act 17:28 (ESV)…

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. ~ John 15:5 (NLT)

I used to define wealth solely in terms of money and material possessions. It was a no-brainer. My life’s pursuit was to obtain riches so I could do the Lord’s work. Holy Spirit has shown me another aspect worth considering – pursue a life that imitates Christ, marked by the abundance of fruit of the Holy Spirit, and all other things will be supplied. Now that my focus is rightly aligned with the Word, the necessary provisions, blessings and favour to prosper in all facets come along with it! My life is filled with joy, good adventure, contentment and I’m excited for what’s to come!!

Prayer

Lord, I thank you for being grafted into the True Vine and for every pruning of the Father that causes us to grow stronger and produce more fruit. We embrace all that you have for us to become and accomplish for the expansion of Your kingdom. We will continually press toward the mark of the prize of the high calling in Christ. The Lord hears and responds to us when we seek Him with all our heart. When He responds, He expects us to take Him serious by doing what He asks, without hesitation. God’s instructions and blessings are not just intended for you and me. No forgetting or misinterpretation now, or for the future generations and purposes. The Lord is counting on our faithfulness in believing Him to the end. How far are you ready and willing to go with the Lord, believing that He will watch on His word to perform it?

Prayer

Thank you Lord for hearing and attending to us when we pray. Help us hold on to that which you have spoken concerning us that we might see the performance of it in Jesus’ name. Our life is in YOU Lord, our strength is in YOU Lord, our hope is in YOU Lord, in YOU, it’s in YOU our Lord…

Prayer Focus: My Legacy – Fruit of the Spirit

Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NLT)

Joyfulness is from within. It is embedded in our relationship with God, a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Over the years, I often look inward to my relationship or interaction with the Holy Spirit whenever I feel sad and find it difficult being joyful. A joyful individual sees God at work in all situations, so there is no room for unproductive thoughts. Instead she is quick to surrender all in prayer and thanksgiving, a powerful form of praying – blessing God for all things, seeing Him working in and through all situations.

Prayer

Lord, thank you for joy through your Holy Spirit who dwells in us. He shines brightly in our lives. We renounce the works of darkness and press through every circumstance so that Your light can not be hidden. Let our whole lives be one of continuous thanksgiving to you in Jesus name.

Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. ~ Colossians 3:23-24

It is natural to view whoever assigned a responsibility or role to us as being the one to whom we are accountable. Our attitude towards the assignment or leader ultimately affects our performance. The Lord is interested in all we do and expects us to have a right attitude and put in our very best in all circumstances. Do we pursue excellence in all that we do? How does our standard measure up to God’s standard?

A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need. ~ Proverbs 17:17 (NLT)

At one point or the other in our lives we need someone, or people. Most valuable lessons of life are learned when we need help and have to rely on others in some way. God created us to live in community, not in isolation. We should be constant with our love even as we realize that the more we know of people, the more we see and experience their best and worst. Let’s cultivate friendship for the now, taking advantage of the unique opportunity to give and treat others as precious, with Jesus Christ at the center of it all. Are you loving to the best of God’s ability?

Prayer

Lord, thank you for surrounding us with people who care. At this point in our lives, we receive the grace to be and have true friends. Friends we can be there for and who will be with us as well. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. ~ 1 Corinthians 13:7 (NLT)

Loving is sacrificial. The perfect example is the love of God to man – God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Rom. 5:8, NLT) As believers we have this selfless nature of God and are expected to walk therein. Often times, we are more selfless towards outsiders than members of our family. Let’s focus on the welfare of our loved ones by willingly going the extra mile for them, being patient when provoked, believing good of them and not giving up on them. We have the Spirit of God and the mind of Christ! How can you demonstrate selflessness towards your family in a way that counts to each of them?

The LORD is my light and my salvation–so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? ~ Psalm 27:1 (NLT)

This is a bold declaration of personal relationship and confidence. Our God is the one who sits on the throne and rules in the affairs of men – Hallelujah! He is our life, deliverer, support, strength, illumination, source of knowledge, direction, guide, and so much more. Regardless of our situations and circumstances we must remain assured and constantly confess our victory; which is that: “we will not be overtaken, we will not be overcome” – we have nothing to fear because God’s got our backs. So what are you afraid of today?

Prayer

Lord, thank you for the confidence we have to call you ours. You are the source of all we need physically and spiritually – our light, salvation and strength. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted ~ John 15:7 (NLT)

The proper circulation of blood to all parts of the human body ensures its functioning. Once this is disrupted in any part of the body, functionality is hampered and death imminent of that part. The same can be said about who we are in Christ Jesus – it is in Him we live, move and have our existence. To abide is to wait, rest and continue to dwell in/on regardless. The condition for our sustainability and fruitfulness as believers is dependent on how yielded we are to His words; where God’s word dwells richly, there He dwells also. When we are full of Him, our union with Him becomes productive. We then can ask or seek His face regarding ANYTHING, and will not ask amiss, thus He will do what we ask.

Prayer

Prayer Focus: My Identity – Authority

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline. ~ 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)

It’s often relatively easy for me to show my good side, putting my best foot forward to impress others. I don’t have the same eagerness when it comes to the other part of my life that isn’t as refined? During these times, it takes courage and humility to remove the barriers from around my heart and allow others to get close enough to show love towards the hidden areas. Then I ask myself, are these areas really hidden or am I deceiving myself? Many are gifted with discernment and word of knowledge. If that is the case, then could it be that others already know about my hidden areas and choose to love me in spite of?

Prayer

Lord, I thank you for your Holy Spirit who gives us power, love and the ability to discern. In you, we are overcomers. Day 17

Prayer Focus: My Relationships – Friends

A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ~ Matthew 22:39 (NLT)

With everything that is going on in the world today, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’ has a very strong meaning. To love all persons everywhere – not just friends and allies, but everyone is very challenging at times. It’s always easy to love that little child that you see on the television who is starving, but hard to love the man begging for food on the corner. What can you do to demonstrate God’s love towards your neighbor as if she was you?

Prayer

Lord, thank you for bringing the concept of loving my neighbor to light in my life. By faith, I know you will help me to spread joy and laughter to all who we encounter, leading the world to your grace through the gospel. We do this for your eternal glory!

Prayer Focus: My Relationships – Family

Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all you heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. ~ Matthew 22:37-38 (NLT)

Know anyone who should have been laid off last year, but instead got a promotion? That has ‘favour of God’ written all over it, and is exactly what happened to my husband. As I was worshipping God and thanking Him for that, he spoke to my heart, “I let your husband stay in that company because you make Me your priority, so I will made him My priority.” To God be the Glory! I’ve come to understand that when we do things out of genuine love for others and in obedience to God, he rewards us. The more we love, the more we have authority over the situations in our life. Is there a family situation that you need to take authority over? Don’t delay any longer – do it now!

Prayer

Father, you are the lover of my soul. Help me to be faithful in loving you. Give me the grace to love you with all my heart, soul and mind, and love the people who are in my life for your name’s sake. I declare love, joy and peace over the lives of all the women. We shall hope for, believe in, and bear all things because of your extravagant love and for your eternal glory!

Prayer Focus: My Relationships – God

Be careful how you live – be like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. ~ Ephesians 5:15-17 (NLT)

Wow, there is so much power packed into so few words, and all about spirit-filled living! When the Holy Spirit creates a window of opportunity for us, we might be tempted to pull down the shade and shrink back from the unknown of what’s on the other side. But if we reach beyond our own knowledge to seek wisdom and get an understanding, truth prevails. The window of opportunity is a blessing – the Lord’s way of giving us space to grow spiritually and to prosper! What growth opportunities are you faced with today? How will you respond?

Prayer

Lord, thank you for all the opportunities you send my way. I pray for understanding to see every window that you open and respond in total submission. I surrender my heart, mind and soul to you and come into alignment with your ways and your word. And I pray your blessings, wisdom, understanding and strength spring forth in the lives of all women on the prayer walk. Reveal all that you have for us to help build your kingdom in your way, for your eternal glory…

Do you know someone who leads with others in mind? You know – the person who values diverse opinions, cultivates trust, develops other leaders, encourages teamwork, sells instead of tells, thinks about the next generation, and acts in humility. Like Jesus, this servant leader is a role model. Perhaps some of the above characteristics describe you. How do you currently, or will you begin, to model servant leadership? What small step can you take over the next three days so that your actions speak louder than your words?

Prayer

Father, thank you for being mighty and powerful in my life. Help me to live in your light and imitate your ways at all times, with wisdom and understanding. I decree every stronghold be demolished and every ungodly root of pride and bitterness be destroyed. We place ourselves on your potter’s wheel. I declare we shall walk in humility and love when under fire, and be stirred to do every good and perfect work for your glory & honour!

Prayer Focus: My Identity – Calling

The Lord said to Israel: “I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.” ~ Jeremiah 31:3 (NLT)

The thought that God loves so extravagantly and calls us by name is enlivening! Our relationship with him is personal and intimate – he showers us with a treasure chest of gifts and talents beyond our imagination. I feel I must devote myself to investing as much of my treasure as possible into the lives of others. But how can I make the most of the time I’ve been given? Which gifts and talents should I focus on to realize the greatest return on God’s investment? How would you answer these questions for yourself?

Prayer

Father, thank you for loving me unconditionally and creating me in your image. You’ve blessed me with so many gifts and talents that I am forever grateful. I pray that all women experience the extravagance of your love. Let your joy and oil overflow in great abundance, anointing and enabling us to love immeasurably more for your kingdom!

Prayer Focus: My Identity – Authority

You are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. ~ 1 Peter 2:9

Have you ever seen a bird with a backpack? Birds travel this planet constantly guided by their instinct to carry out their purpose. You’ll never see them with a backpack of their belongings, nor worrying about how to fulfill their purpose. They rely on what was placed inside of them, and that means they are trusting in the one who made them. Likewise, we need to walk in the authority given as God’s chosen people. This is our identity and purpose. We are created with wisdom to live, move and bring the manifest presence of God to those around us. Are you carrying a weight that causes you to question your ability in Him? How can you turn it around to help grow your faith and encourage a sister in Christ?

Prayer

Father, thank you for being the giver and sustainer of my life, and that there is nothing about which You are unaware. Help me to grow in the knowledge of who I are in You so that my purpose and destiny will be fulfilled in and through You. Your care and provision are continually poured out upon us as we surrender ourselves to You. May our lives continually reflect Your glory as we worship you in everything that we do…

Prayer Focus: My Identity – Faith

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. ~ Romans 10:17

We all have hopes and dreams, goals and achievements we want to accomplish. Faith is the sustaining power that is cultivated from the in-between times, when we are not sure what the future holds but we decide to trust God for our dreams, to take a step out of our comfort zone when we don’t know the way. Thankfully we do know our God is greater than our uncertainty! Worship is like the green house of faith, when burdens and cares can be released and our hopes can be lifted to the Father in joyful expectance of the good things He has for us!

Prayer

Thank you Lord that this time and place in my life is a stepping-stone and not the end destination. Thank you that you have plans for me and for the things I hold dear in my heart. Please cultivate my faith – to take the steps you have for me in life and have a heart that seeks you first. I pray that my eyes would be opened daily to your goodness and your faithfulness…

Day 10

Prayer Focus: My Legacy – Stewardship

Let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name. ~ Hebrews 13:15

Is giving praise to God really a sacrifice, or just par for the course in life? Does the praise that I give count if offered when I don’t feel like it? I’ve asked my self questions like this before and Holy Spirit gently reminded me there is sacrifice in praise, but when it’s done with a heart of obedience to God’s word those questions no longer need answering! What are the ways you offer praise to God? How intentional are you in stepping outside your comfort zone to explore new ways to praise him?

Prayer

Lord, thank you for the privilege of being able to praise you with my words, actions, and entire being. You are the center of my joy! I proclaim the joy of the Lord, strength, power and authority will be present, and I declare love, courage, prosperity, and all the benefits of being your child manifest abundantly in my life and the lives of my sisters in Christ.

Gusty winds and tumultuous waves can throw the best sailors into a scurry to secure the ship and stay on course.  A short voyage can quickly turn into a dangerous one, especially in rocky areas.  It takes each sailor working in her assigned area – the rigging, sails, steering, and navigation coupled with being a meteorologist of sorts. As a result of each sailor’s efforts, the team safely completes the journey together!  Think about the groups you are part of.  Are you an active or passive participant?  What is the fruit of your contribution?

Prayer

Lord, thank you for being the captain of my life and uniquely creating me in your image.  I dedicate my life back to you, surrendered to your purpose.  Help me to walk in love at all times so that you will be glorified.  I speak life, blessing, favour and manifestation of the fruit of the Spirit in the lives of the women who are participating in this online prayer walk, for your dominion…

Having GPS on my mobile phone is a huge convenience. It shows the best route, gives turn-by-turn directions and automatically updates the route to keep me on course if I take a wrong turn. Holy Spirit acts in a similar way in our life. He guides in a loving way and never condemns us for making a mistake. It took some time for me to truly grasp the depth of this truth – God’s grace is all-sufficient.

Prayer

Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God through Christ also has forgiven you. ~ Ephesians 4:31-32

There is a freedom and peace that comes with choosing to forgive and displaying kindness towards those who offend. It’s not always easy to go down that path, but the Lord honours acts of love. Is there someone or a situation that comes to mind as you think about choosing to love? How can you demonstrate God’s love in that place today?

Busy schedules and competing demands often consume much of our energy and focus. These distractions tug at us to turn away from what’s really important. We were created for God’s glory. He made a way for us to receive grace so that our ultimate calling could be fulfilled. What does that calling to bring glory to God look like for you? How has God uniquely created you to demonstrate his love to someone else today?
