Our Worship

Why do we clap our hands?
“Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph!”
Psalm 47:1

Why do we lift our hands?
“Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.”
Psalm 63:4

Why do we sing in tongues and in English?
“For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding; I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.”
I Corinthians 14:14, 15

Why do we have this type of worship?
“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit; and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
John 4:23, 24

Why do we have “Open Worship”?
“But be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.” Ephesians 5:18, 19

Why do we prophesy?
“Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.”
I Corinthians 14:1
